In the rehabilitation of the fiber cement roofs of this large nave, over 80 years old, we used a comfortable and safe solution, in which the fiber cement is not removed, serving as the basis for the system, which offers the exceptional waterproofing of Koster’s TPO membranes and the efficient thermal insulation of the polyisocyanurate.
The method, which allows the building’s roof to be renewed without interrupting its normal activity, includes a lightened metallic armor, where the system is fixed, without manipulating the fiber cement and without the release of dust or fibers, in addition to reinforcing the roof, bringing it greater resistance to wind action and evenly spreading loads.
We avoid the release of thousands of particles and environmental overload, by not depositing the fiber cement sheets in landfills, and we transform an old and potentially dangerous roof into an attractive environmentally friendly system.
