At Sacopor, a company of the Cimpor Group, Prudêncio carried out a project involving the rehabilitation of several roofs, designed to strengthen the building’s protection and prepare it for the future. An intervention that combined waterproofing, energy efficiency, and compatibility with renewable energy systems.
Challenges and Requirements
Rehabilitate different types of roofs in a large industrial unit.
Integrate solutions compatible with the installation of solar systems, without compromising watertightness.
Improve the durability, protection against infiltration, and energy performance of the roofs.
Ensure system reliability in both metal areas and zones already covered with recent membranes.
Adopted Solution
Application of KÖSTER TPO membranes over the existing PVC membranes, creating a safe surface ready for the installation of the new flexible solar panel system.
Rehabilitation of a metal roof with the application of PIR (polyisocyanurate) thermal insulation, over which the KÖSTER TPO membrane was installed, ensuring waterproofing and a high-quality final finish.
Installation of watertight anchorage points, ensuring the secure fixation of the existing solar panel system without compromising waterproofing.
Results and Benefits
Rehabilitated roofs are prepared to receive solar systems, ensuring maximum protection and compatibility.
Improved thermal performance and increased energy efficiency of the building.
A continuous, durable, and robust system, tailored to the specific needs of the industrial unit.
A project that reflects Prudêncio’s commitment to innovative solutions, aligned with the demands of sustainability and energy efficiency.
