In the rehabilitation of the Pingo Doce de Évora roof, after removing the reinforced polyurethane that covered the roof, a system was made composed of polyisocyanurate thermal insulation plates, applied on shims in EPS and waterproofing with TPO membrane KÖSTER 1,5 F with laminated geotextile incorporated in the lower face which, besides increasing the resistance, also allows to perform the bonding to the base, when the cover does not have conditions to fix the waterproofing membrane directly to the sheet, as in the case presented here.
It is a self-supporting metal cover “Blocotelha” which, due to its particularities, it is impractical to consider the removal and replacement with a new cover.
Due to the variability and irregularity of the waves and the rigidity of the plate, this rehabilitation system, which is very well applied, also allows the roof to be renewed without disturbing the normal commercial operation of the buildings.

A system of great longevity, with excellent aesthetic and technical results – thermal insulation and waterproofing.
Given the structural, architectural, and interior layout limitations that this building presented, it was replaced by a new project that currently exists on the same site.
